Glassworks student accommodation, Newcastle, UK

The building stands five levels tall, comprising 115 units and 192 rooms. Departing from traditional construction methods, this project embraced Modular Building technology, where prefabricated modules are assembled on-site, significantly reducing the construction timeline by approximately half compared to conventional methods.

During the prefabrication phase, various processes such as thermal insulation, water and power supply installation, fire control measures, sound insulation, energy-saving initiatives, and interior decoration were executed concurrently, necessitating impeccable collaboration and precise timing management. Guangzhou Xingyuan Home Furnishing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as XINGYUAN HOME) worked tirelessly, delivering and initiating door installations within a matter of weeks. XINGYUAN HOME successfully demonstrated that its final products would adhere to the stringent 30 to 90-minute British Standard certification requirements, while its site management team ensured seamless alignment with the project's construction schedule.
